Job Summary Join the trade operations team of a reputable international bank as a Bills Officer, where you will drive efficient processing and support of diverse trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance and accuracy in Letters of Credit, collections, and bank guarantees. Responsibilities Process Letters of Credit by advising, amending, re-advising, and transferring to support trade finance transactions Manage inward and outward collections, disbursements, and negotiations to facilitate smooth trade settlements Verify trade documents for accuracy and compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards Handle acceptance, payments, trust receipts, and banker guarantees to maintain transaction integrity Execute trade-related loan drawdowns and discounting to support client financing needs Perform journal entries and assist with month-end reporting to maintain accurate financial records Conduct compliance checks on sanctioned countries, vessels, trade routes, and counterparties to mitigate risks Participate in system enhancement initiatives, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and related projects, to improve operational efficiency Communicate effectively and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless trade operations Work independently with meticulous attention to detail and demonstrate self-motivation to meet deadlines Required competencies and certifications Hands-on experience of 1–3 years in Trade Finance operations Solid understanding of UCP600, ISBP745, and ISP98 rules governing trade finance instruments Skilled in vetting trade documents to ensure compliance and accuracy Experience with Letters of Credit issuance processes Preferred competencies and qualifications Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) certification is an added advantage Familiarity with system enhancement initiatives, including UAT and related projects Other Information Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Location: CBD, Singap
