About the RoleWe are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative Assistant Retail Store Planner cum Interior Designer to support our store planning and design team. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in retail design, tenant coordination, and project execution within a dynamic department store environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Review & Concept AlignmentReview tenant and brand design proposals to ensure alignment with the store’s overall concept and guidelines Provide design recommendations to enhance aesthetics, functionality, and customer experience Store Planning & Visual MerchandisingAssist in space planning, layout development, and optimization of retail floor areas Support the visual planning team to maintain a cohesive and engaging store environment Design DevelopmentPrepare layout plans and detailed drawings using AutoCAD Support 3D visualization using SketchUp (preferred) Ensure accuracy and coordination of design documentation Project CoordinationAssist the Senior Store Planner in managing fit-out and renovation projects Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams Monitor progress to ensure compliance with approved designs Regulatory ComplianceSupport design compliance with Singapore authorities (URA, SCDF, BCA, NEA, etc) Assist with basic submission requirements where necessary Data & ReportingUpdate and maintain sales floor area records quarterly. Additional ResponsibilitiesSupport the team with ad hoc tasks as required RequirementsDiploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field Experience in retail and/or commercial design projects is required Proficient in AutoCAD (SketchUp is an advantage) Strong design sense and attention to detail A good team player with strong collaboration skills Good communication and coordination abilities Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
