Pioneer innovative clinical pharmacy services and mentor the next generation of pharmacists Job Responsibilities Takes on a role of an educator and lead trainer, from pre-registrants to senior pharmacists and above with the aim of training pharmacists to be advance generalists specialists. Crafts out necessary learning objectives, curriculum, materials to ensure pharmacy department is well equipped with updated skills and knowledge. Work in collaboration with other departments, clusters and/or organizations for cross department education and training. Reviews written/electronic order form (medication chart, medication record or prescription) to ensure drug prescribed is appropriate. Performs medication reconciliation. Provides drug information service to health care professionals. Involvement in clinical services such as attending multidisciplinary rounds and running ambulatory services. Dispenses and counsel patient on medication prescribed by doctor. Assigns, oversees and closely review the work of pharmacy assistants and technicians. Participates in Pharmacy education and development programmes (e.g. providing lectures to Pharmacy personnel, other hospital employees, and students on attachments on pertinent topics). Performs other pharmacy-related duties or ad-hoc quality departmental projects/activities as assigned by the Director/Reporting Officer.
