RESPONSIBILITIES Support the development, coordination, and implementation of research activities across SMU's university-level research institutes. Conduct literature reviews, landscape scans, benchmarking, and background research to support research strategy development, faculty initiatives, and proposal preparation. Assist in the preparation and refinement of research proposals, concept notes, presentation materials and reports Support faculty engagement activities, including coordinating meetings, workshops, seminars, and research-related discussions with internal and external stakeholders. Support stakeholder engagement and collaboration with public agencies, industry partners, and academic collaborators. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer and/or Vice Provost (Strategic Research Partnerships). QUALIFICATIONS Candidates with prior experience as a Research Assistant, Research Associate, or in research/project support roles within universities or research institutions will be preferred, but not strictly necessary. A Master's degree with 3 years' work experience, or PhD, in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Business, Psychology, Urban Studies, or a related discipline is preferred, but not strictly necessary.
