Job Summary

  • The Associate Director of Private Asset Risk role is dedicated to assessing and managing risks arising from private asset investments, ideally filled by an investment professional with hands-on experience in managing alternative assets and a track record in reputable, multi-national asset management companies.
  • Develop a comprehensive risk framework for private assets, focusing on intrinsic risks such as liquidity risk, valuation risk, leverage, complexity and concentration.
  • Work closely with Finance teams (e.g., Group Capital Management, Group Actuarial, Group Corporate Centre), Investments teams (e.g., Investment Consulting Unit, Investment Governance, head of respective asset classes) and AIA AMCs to perform holistic forward-looking risk management for private assets.

  • Good understanding of insurance asset allocation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
