Job Description Industry/ Organization Type: Secondary and Post-Secondary Education (Non-Tertiary) Position Title: PYP Homeroom Teacher Working Location: One-North (5 mins from Buona Vista MRT) Working Hours: 5 Days Salary Package: Basic Salary + VB Duration: Permanent Role Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of the core curriculum: English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, ensuring all learning outcomes are met for your grade. Work with colleagues to create Unit Planners (before, during, and after the unit) and ensure all unit documents and student work samples are organized and maintained. Participate in and lead weekly planning meetings with grade-level teachers and specialists to ensure the curriculum is aligned. Take responsibility for the social-emotional well-being of your homeroom students, and teach PSPE (Personal, Social, and Physical Education) and Drama/Theatre Arts. Act as the main communication link between the school and home. This includes sending UOI (Unit of Inquiry) letters, contributing to newsletters, and conducting Parent-Teacher and Student-Led Conferences. Conduct assessments (formative and summative) to guide lesson planning. Write two comprehensive reports per year. Prepare for unit assemblies, the annual PYP Exhibition, coordinate one school-wide event, and lead one Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) per week. Any ad hoc duties assigned APPLY NOW!!! Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field; professional teaching certification (PGDE/B.Ed) is preferred. Experience or strong knowledge of the IB PYP and Inquiry-Based Learning is preferred. Ability to use Differentiated Instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in your classroom. A team player who can mentor others and reflect on their own teaching practice to meet career goals.
