Job Summary

  • This role supports the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) primary design focus areas within the Mechanical Systems team.
  • The engineer will provide technical guidance, oversee project scheduling, and act as the point-of-contact between the engineering team and customers.
  • Responsibilities include performing system design activities such as piping diagrams, hydraulic resistance calculations, and FMEA evaluations.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
  • 4+ years experience in HVAC design
  • System design specifications and P&ID creation
  • Thermodynamic and heat/fluid flow calculations
  • Component and product integration expertise

Nice-to-have

  • Master's degree or PhD in engineering discipline
  • SRO license qualifications or plant experience
  • Knowledge of NQA-1 and ISO 9000 quality standards
  • Experience with lean methodology and Design to Cost
  • Strong leadership skills in regulated environments

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of HVAC design experience
  • Legal authorization to work in Poland
  • US citizenship or DOE authorized country status required
