Work on site for a global investment bank here in Singapore working on critical projects across their business. If you do not have banking industry experience as yet this could be a great opportunity for you to get some! Banking industry whilst nice to have is not essential for this role they are happy to give training on the job where needed. What You’ll Work On: Build and optimise high‑performance services using Core Java (JDK 11+) Design and implement efficient data structures & algorithms Work across SQL / NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) Develop messaging‑driven components using Kafka, Tibco, Solace, or similar MQ tech Tune, debug, and deploy services on Linux, with strong understanding of JVM internals Write clean, maintainable code using TDD Take ownership of L3 production support and deep‑dive troubleshooting What You Bring: 3 to 5 or more years of experience with JAVA coding will be fine (anymore is also fine!) Strong Core Java fundamentals + hands‑on multithreading experience Solid grasp of algorithms, data structures, and system design Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases Exposure to enterprise MQ technologies or similar Comfort working in Linux environments Passion for clean code, testing, and engineering best practices Ability to handle production issues with ownership and clarity Banking, Financial markets, trading systems, or high‑throughput distributed platforms experience is a "nice to have" but not essential.
