Job Summary

  • This role provides critical expertise in hull, structural, and coating systems to support the structural integrity and survivability of forward-deployed U.S. Navy vessels.
  • The successful candidate will conduct on-site inspections, evaluate casualties, and develop repair recommendations in a dynamic, high-tempo operational environment.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel frequently to OCONUS locations and respond to casualty events including weekends and holidays as required.

  • Structural assessments and corrosion evaluations

  • Knowledge of MFOM/NMD, FTS, MAFs, CADET systems
  • Ability to obtain Secret security clearance

  • Experience supporting forward-deployed naval forces
  • Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual standards
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or FEMAP modeling software
  • Background in dry-docking assessments
  • Prior work at a Regional Maintenance Center

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience inspecting U.S. Navy hull and structural systems
  • Willingness to complete Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Technician course within 6 months
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
  • Journeyman level independence in fast-paced operational environments
