Our client is actively searching for a Head, Workplace Safety and Health for their team! If you are a dynamic individual seeking a new career opportunity, read further! This role leads and drives the College’s Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) strategy, governance and compliance framework, ensuring a safe and resilient environment across teaching, research and operations. You will partner schools and stakeholders to embed strong safety practices, while providing oversight on infrastructure and operational environments where safety considerations are critical. The responsibilities of this role are: Leadership & Strategy Provide strategic advice on WSH risks, governance and compliance Develop and drive WSH policies, frameworks and standards Identify risks, gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement Represent the College on safety matters with internal and external stakeholders Partner with the University’s Office of Health and Safety (OHS) to ensure alignment with institutional policies and governance WSH Management & Compliance Oversee inspections, audits and risk assessments across College premises Lead incident investigations and ensure timely corrective actions Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. MOM, SCDF) Drive safety culture, awareness and training initiatives Oversee contractor safety and permit-to-work systems Safety Governance & Committee Leadership Lead and oversee the College Safety Committee, including agenda setting, reporting and follow-up of key actions Provide updates on safety performance, incidents and key risks Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of safety-related decisions Infrastructure & Operational Advisory Advise on safety considerations in laboratories, workshops and operational environments Partner stakeholders on safety aspects of infrastructure, renovations and setups Stakeholder & Team Leadership Engage and influence stakeholders across Schools and functions Lead and develop team members Navigate competing
